CV Surgery - Memphis, TN

UT Medical Group of Memphis, TN seeks a full-time Physician Assistant to work in our CV Surgery department, which is primarily housed in the Methodist University and Methodist South hospitals. Under the direction of a physician, the Physician Assistant will provide health care services to patients, assist with thoracic, cardiac, and vascular/vascular access operative cases, administer such therapeutic procedures as injections, immunizations, suturing and wound care, and perform endoscopic vein harvesting in cardiac bypass cases.

Applicants should have completed an accredited PA program, be eligible for licensing in the state of TN, and be NCCPA Board certified. New graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply. Applicants must be willing to work Monday through Friday and to take call. Peds CV surgery - LR

We currently have a position in our CV Surgery department. Although the job location will be AR Children's Hospital, this will be a UAMS position. This will be a Surgical 1st assist in peds-cardiothoracic surgery. The days/hours will vary to meet the positions needs.

The job duties will be: to assist the surgeons in the OR with all procedures; providing expert surgical assistance; making rounds on all post-op patients on a daily and PRN basis. Requirements: AR PA license and basic computer skills.

Preferred: Minimum 3 years of PA experience, but will consider new grads. Evidence of expertise in leadership or independent practice roles. Demonstrated communication skills (written and oral), problem-solving, and collaborative skills.
