The PA under the supervision of the attending physician works collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary healthcare team. Provides care for patients in the outpatient clinic and addresses both acute and chronic issues in managing disease and treatment-related complications. Collects, documents and analyzes patient data; collaborates in the development and implementation of treatment plans; coordinates patient care with ancillary clinical services; provides follow up to referring physicians; may orient or precept students and new staff. Performs other related duties as assigned or directed to meet the goals and objectives of the institution.

Schedule: Monday - Friday

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Graduate of a PA program accredited by the Committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Pediatric Endocrinology diseases experience preferred.
At least (2) two years of outpatient pediatric clinical care experience is preferred.
Specialized training in pediatric endocrinology will be provided.

LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS:
Licensed by the State of TN Board of Medical Examiners to practice as a PA
Certified by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistant
Supervising Physician: verified by St. Jude Managed Care Department
DEA certification: U.S. Department of Justice Drug Enforcement Administration within 6 months of employment
